1508 London’s breathtaking WOW!house bathroom in collaboration with House of Rohl
The WOW!house at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, is now firmly established in the design calendar. This one-of-a-kind showhouse is constructed in the central atrium of the Design Centre and populated with 22 rooms and outdoor spaces, each conceived by a different designer. WOW!house is the interiors equivalent of the Chelsea Flower Show, and just as influential.
A collaboration with 1508 London
House of Rohl has worked with interior design and architecture practice, 1508 London, on a number of projects. Their diverse, multi-disciplined team brings originality, flair and extraordinary attention to detail to each one, and they were always our first choice as partners for the 2025 WOW!house. Fortunately this coincided with their 15th anniversary, providing an opportunity to create something remarkable to mark the milestone.
The design concept embraces 1508 London’s global sensibility approach to interior design, focusing on the bathroom as a sanctuary for ritual and rejuvenation. ‘Every element of our space is meticulously crafted to celebrate these daily rituals, creating an immersive and sensory experience,” explains Ailsa. ‘Our approach integrates a harmonious balance of materials, light, and texture, each chosen to evoke a sense of discovery and tranquillity. The play of light and shadow, the tactile qualities of natural materials, and the thoughtful layering of design elements come together to create a deeply engaging environment.’
Guided by the principles of Reflection, Ritual, and Reverie, the design captures the essence of ancient traditions while blending modern influences.
Seros x Victoria + Albert Baths
The key product in the design is the Seros by Victoria + Albert. Inspired by the sculptures of artist Sophie-Elizabeth Thompson, the Seros collection embodies the energy and movement of water through organic, fluid forms.
The freestanding bath is a beautiful centrepiece for the bathroom, with sculptured line work flowing around the tub and it exemplifies how art and craftsmanship can merge to create beautiful interior spaces.
Langbourn x Perrin & Rowe
The brassware range is the Langbourn Collection from Perrin & Rowe, an understated contemporary design with balanced proportions and delightful detail. Blending traditional craft with modern technology, made at Perrin & Rowe’s Black Country foundry and assembled in East London, Langbourn represents the best of British artisanship.
Choosing brands and products that reflect 1508 London’s commitment to craftsmanship has been part of the joy of the project, says Paris. ‘We proud to collaborate with House of Rohl and renowned artisans: Ca’ Pietra; Bert Frank; Clayworks; Tom Faulkner; Charles Burnand; Porta Romana; Anka Bespoke; Atelier Alain Ellouz; Atelier 001; Novacastrin; Coral Stephens; Christy; Britannicus Stone.
‘We’ve also commissioned bespoke wet vanities from Anka Bespoke, with an amazing liquid metal finish, and two stunning artworks from Carl Koch of Paynes Grey, crafted from thousands of individually rolled, cut, dipped, and assembled ceramic tiles.’
Lighting can be a neglected element of bathroom design, but here plays a crucial role in shaping the ambience of the space. 1508 London partnered with Lutron, leading experts in architectural lighting, to ensure that every detail is highlighted with precision, creating a dynamic interplay between shadow and light.

Precision,
Proportion,
Perfection
Like the finest jewellery, Perrin & Rowe’s English brassware has an exacting sense of proportion and elegance.
It shows in the richness of hand-polished finishes, the detail of a tap lever or shower valve, the nuances that not readily apparent to the eye but together create flawless artistry. Perrin & Rowe is never mass-produced.
Casting by hand in small batches ensures the highest standard. Every tap is tested for guaranteed performance. The definition of quality.

Art of the Bath
Victoria + Albert baths are sculptural forms of sheer beauty. Coveted for their presence, designed for sublime bathing, they transform any space into a luxurious sanctuary.
Sloping waves and minimalist angles are expressed in a spectrum of colors and array of designs from classic to modern. Victoria + Albert makes a statement of indulgence for an experience to linger and luxuriate in.

Modern Design for Luxury Living
Born in Quebec, Riobel epitomises the city’s blend of European culture and North American flair. Riobel’s brassware is characterised by geometric shapes and unique angles, inspired by modern architectural forms.
This brilliantly modern aesthetic is combined with advanced engineering to create innovative products designed to be effortless to use, adding luxury to everyday life.

Shaws of Darwen
Founded in 1897, Shaws meticulous approach has stood the test of time. Heavy duty fireclay is hard to work with but can produce the most durable of ceramics. Shaws sinks are tougher, with a deeper, more lustrous finish. Each one is made by hand by a single master craftsman, taught by the master craftsmen who came before and signed by its maker. Their passion and pride are evident in the result: a sink that is beautiful, timeless and unique.
